Roadtrip update

Right now were in some town that has nice trails and we hope its nice outside tomorrow so we can ride them, if its raining we will head to Rye Airfield wich is like 1 or 2 hours away. The Thrashbike jam was fun, Im not sure about the results tho. Im pretty sure Adam Hauck won and the Matts (White and Jamieson) did good too. Oh and someone just told me Rocco (wich tailwhipped all the way down the whole bank) was second. Adam rode good as usual with tricks like wall to whip and huge walltaps and many other stunts I dont remember right now. Oh and some forgiven "woohwoohwoohwooh" 's. Matt Jamieson did a nice alleyoop 180 over the handrail on the stairset and Matt White did a flair on the quarter and other cool stuff. No one from our "crew" did too good, I guess its because a few of us have been drinking beer on the roof of the hotel till the sun woke up but whatever. Im my opinion last year's comp was way better but whatever, everyone still had a lot of fun and the party at the Post bikeshop was really fun. We were really stoked when we found good beer from Quebec in a close by corner store! I want to thank the guys at Thrashbike dot com for organising cool events like this one and the guys at Dobermann for helping us out with everything. I posted a couple pictures and now its bedtime to hopefully ride cool jumps tomorrow!

Brooklyn update

Stephane in action

Michel flying to hell

Jeremy keeepin' it real for Italy

Louis footjamin' with no foot..... BROTAH!

Yiop so im in Brooklyn right now, I got here on thursday night and its pretty cool. Today we (Vincent, Stéphane, Louis, Jeremy, Walter and I ) sessionned a skatepark close to our hotel in Brooklyn, its a concrete park with 2 bowls and some other cool stuff. It was way too hot outside but the Arisona one dollar drinks saved our lives and made us able to shoot some quick photos. After that we ate and headed to the brooklyn banks to meet the other thrashbike riders. I cant tell much about the ride that went on since Louis and I lost the group in the street due to some red lights. But I heard Matt White broke his chain and the ride wasnt too great. Louis and I got lost and we did a big ride around New York and we randomly arrived close to the brooklyn banks so we went to ride them since we had nothin else to do and what a surprise, and everyone was there. So that being said, right now Stephane, Jeremy and I are on the roof of the hotel with beer and laptops and food and nice weather, its really fun. I posted a couple pics we took at the park this morning.

US and A update

We havent been able to update recently because the internet at our hotel does not work anymore because someone, who we all know, looks at too much "innapropriate" websites. The last couple of days have been pretty good, except for the rain. We had Dan Bowhers and Anson Wellington show us a few spots around Brooklyn and Manhattan where we managed to get a few clips. They also brought us to ride the ramps at Post bike shop, which is Edwin Delarosa's shop, which where really tight but super fun to ride plus everyone at the shop was super chill and made us feel at home. So if you are coming down for the comp this weekend or just visiting make sure to stop at Post bike shop in brooklyn. Here are a few pictures that Volta took with his camera...

Cheese Balls and Rain

So after fighting the downtown New York traffic, I finally met up with Vince and Walter (a.k.a. Volta). We didn't do much today except for check into our hotel because its raining but we did have a chance to visit the local "discount" grocery store where we found some amazing Cheese Balls in a very large container for very cheap. Hopefully tomorrow it will be nice so we will be able to go out and ride but for now I leave you with pictures of our HUGE hotel room.

Fart Knocker

Vince just sent me this update on his road trip across the northeast US and A, he also sent me a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Trip update 1

Friday early morning, Walter and I left Montreal to meet Clinton in Burlington, Vermont for the first week of a long trip. It took 45 minutes to cross the border because it was Walter’s first time in the US and A and he had to do all kind of weird paperwork.

We met with Clinton at the Burlington bus station then went to the Stowe dirt jumps. It was unridable as it had been raining for a couple of hours.

We went to Knights from www.ideride.com private park in St Johnsbury, Vermont. It was a super small park but we had a blast as the park was well designed. Walter did a wallride to footjam, Clinton flipped, barspinned and did many other sick tricks over the box jump and the spox. Dave Smutok came to meet us at the park and we rode with him.

After the jam session, we went to Highland Mountain bike park in New Hampshire and had a funny reception with what we tought was a beaver but got to be a porcupine. The following morning, we worked on the jump as the rain from the previous day completly destroyed the lips and landings of the jumps. Smutok worked on the landing of the step-up jump so Walter and Clinton could session it. Clinton and Walter both 360’ed it and whipped it but nothing too crazy went on there.

Sunday morning we left Highland early so we could ride Rob’s trails. On our way there, we hit something and a part of the truck’s tire broke. We then had to pull out in a sketchy town where we saw a guy buying a blunt paper with a penny and putting the last 25 cents on his credit card. We got towed to Nashua to get a new set of tires. We finally got to the dirt jumps and I was super stoked. I always wanted to ride real trails and i finally got to ride some. Walter and Clinton were as stoked as me because we wanted so much to ride some nice jumps and did not have the chance to ride some before now for different factors. We are coming back later this week to film but we took some photos.

Right now, we are driving to Clinton’s house in Cape Cod, Massachussets and we will spend a week there chilling at the beach and riding his sweet backyard.
